The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) is a national, non-profit, charitable organization devoted to the advancement of astronomy and related sciences. The membership is composed primarily of amateurs and also includes numerous professional astronomers and astronomy educators.

The RASC New Brunswick Center is one of 29 local branches of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. It holds regular meetings, alternating between Moncton, Fredericton, and Saint John. It also hosts a number of star parties at New Brunswick's provincial and national parks. The public is welcome to attend meetings and to participate at star parties.

The International Dark Sky Association's work includes initiatives to protect the night skies and fragile ecosystems in parks and protected areas worldwide. Their website contains a wealth of information on light pollution and on measures to prevent it.

The William Brydone Jack Astronomy Club is based in Fredericton. They hold regular public meetings at the University of New Brunswick.
The Hanwell Astronomy Club is a subgroup of the WBJAC residing in Hanwell, NB. |

The Saint John Astronomy Club holds regular meetings at the Rockwood Park Interpretation Center.
One of the SJAC members is regularly involved in sidewalk astronomy at Saints Rest Beach, in the Irving Nature Park. See his Facebook page for details. |

The Mount Allison Gemini Observatory (MAGO) is a dual-dome astronomical observatory housing 11" Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes. It is used by the physics department for astronomy classes, as well as being open to the public for special viewing nights and activities.
